Damn she’s a beauty!
Great job!
Wow! I have two of these going right now. Is this the only fino that you grew or was this the prettiest?
Yes, I only popped the one seed. She smelled really good and now waiting for her to cure. The leaf to flower ratio was fantastic, easiest trim we’ve ever had, which was nice. Did have to take her to 70 days for full maturation.
I’ll post pics when my two are done. I took some clones a couple days ago so as soon as I know those clones are good. I’ll flip these to flower. I’ve been experimenting with letting my plants get at least 6 months old before I flip them. I think there’s a different quality of Bud not to mention a lot larger yield. I do a lot of manipulation though to keep them very low before I flip them so I don’t have Christmas trees…
I use a lot of cannabenders and sticks lol this picture for reference was just some romulan holyfield that I just finished up.
Looks great but tell me honestly, how many eyes have you lost lol
Bro, if I didn’t already wear glasses I would not be able to see… I jam my face, my neck, my arms, my chin, all the time when I’m in there trying to trim LOL
yes, I agree with allowing plants to mature until 5-6 months old for best outcomes.
Nicely done.
You’re the first person to agree with me. Everybody else that I know that grows or even people that I’ve talked to in other states don’t let their plants get older than 2 months ever. Since I grow from personal medical use, I go for quality, not quantity and have seen a drastic difference and Bud quality from a mature plant over 5 months old versus something that I flipped in 4 weeks. This is also shows when flowering clones, in my opinion, allowing a clone to grow for 5 months yields Bud quality and plant structure as if it were from seed versus flowering a clone in 4 weeks or less really leads to a finicky and scrawny plant. I’ve kept mother plants alive for over a year and still flowered them with no problem.
** Back to the marshmallow plant. As you can tell from my picture I do a lot of bending and training… Every time I tried to bend some marshmallow branches they would just crack. It is such a brittle plant, a majority of all other plants I can bend completely 18, 0 before a branch would break… This is a great quality to have for supporting the weight of branches, but sucks for training. Luckily I was able to wrap tape around the cracks and they held up and mended. Did you do any training or just top a few times and let it go?
Thanks Buddy
I grow in RDWC, so they grow fast, I like to use the comparison analogous to a “top fuel dragster”. I am only able to veg from clone for 4-weeks or risk getting root bound, etc. So, I do agree for best quality to grow a plant from seed 5-6 months to full maturity, I just clone several times from before production begins. And I do lots of training, both HST and/or LST depending on the strain, which I feel also brings out the quality.
I would love to get into rdwc but I found out that it just seems like it’s too much physical labor for me. You have to clean all the containers and clean all the hose lines and keep track of all kinds of stuff. Not to mention the expense with dosers and timers and water chillers and holding tanks and I’m just so sickly that I really struggle to get down there every 2 days to just water plain water. I use use living soil so I try to not even have to buy a nutrients to add to it other than additives that I find are more enhancers like Mammoth p, bat guano, or Cal mag… If my health ever improves I’ll look into it again. I need something that can be left alone for a couple weeks. That’s what I would like lol
Colin covers that very subject I’m sure in first or second edition magazines. Age of maturity in plants.
