I don’t understand what’s going on to me. It looks like the yellow one from the bottom leaves in the initial leaves that give them the nutrients dying off also that they’re not getting the nutrients, but I got pro mix organic I’ve never grown in anything but cocoa and synthetics and it’s supposed to have food for three months but they’re in the little cops. They’re only a few weeks old. I had to re-up a few of them so a few of them older, one of the ones I just popped seedlings just died and dying for no reason and then one of my best and oldest ones is dying. It’s been cold at night time so I’ve had the seed mat on and I think this happened before and I was thinking it might’ve been the seed mat cause it’s hitting the roots up too much as they get older and maybe caused some sort of issue I don’t know what’s going on any advice please prepping these for outdoor never grown in their organic super soil nothing so I don’t know what’s going on, and also got cold a few nights, but that’s why I had to see Matt and the dome on still but open and then crack in it. It’s weird. I don’t know what to do. I’m already behind schedule…
I only grew in coco, and only organic one other time so when I googled this pro mix it said enough food for 3 month, I knew regular is like coco and you need to feed, I don’t know why when I was buying this that’s what google said but then I just google it again and it only has enough for 7-10 days , but that still don’t explain why the new seedling died, Now I know what I was thinking with the yellow is they needed food, but dying has to be light, humidity and environmental stress mixed with the root zone being to warm, I even put something in between after a few weeks because I was thinking that was the reason of seedlings dying in the past.
What your runoff reading for ec and ph? Do you have air blowing directly on them?
I dont know anything about that soil, but i use happy frog for seeds and cuts, and then they go into a water only super soil that will last at least 8-12wks without any help. Water only.
Ocean forest was always too hot for beans and babies, this may be the case here.
I told you in your last post, that stuff is no good. Very inconsistent product. Mass produced sold at a convenient store anyone can easily pick up. It should be fine for seed starting but for longer will need fertilizer added.
You could have a soil issue…., picked up a microorganism from it that killed your plant or maybe over watered, under watered, too much light, temperature too hot, not enough humidity, possible shocked the plants being in the dome and out of the dome. Many variables at play. Keep it simple and let them grow. Plants adapt to environment so don’t keep changing it.
Roll with the strong ones and always pop more than you need. Some of them look very nice, cut your losses and start more.
I know it was all I could get at the time, I use to grow in coco but grabbed it to start them with and have super soil for after, even with all the variables I never had stuff die so easy, one other time but it was very cold and I was using the seed mat, I think light intensity also with it all, but the other ones was actually flourishing then the one that was doing the best died also, weird, I see other day they use the seed mat until about week three but man I think that was a big part because it’s the only other time it happened and it did not get to cold, low 70’s but it’s a weed lol they are supposed to be strong and always have been even without the perfect conditions, it grows outside, I think the gen 1’ are more sensitive also, it’s my fault no matter what, trying to rush last minute and not preparing because I just moved in this house and had so much going on and need to be done, really wanted to get a outside grow in, I popped more autos and gen 1’s and got the cheap greenhouse so hopefully I can make it happen, I usually put autos right into the final pot I think k they grow better, gonna put a baseball side area with this to start the seed in and the rest super soil, I should have read it and known anyway but I don’t know why I read it wrong in google, I always know it was one of the other soilless medium just thought maybe they came out with something different.
