Day 1 of transplant from baby tent to veg/flower tent
Excited to run Battle Axe. Not a lot of info out about the strain from growers.
I stacked my freebies from a recent purchase to run 6 of the Mandarin Cookies V3. Really enjoyed the MC R3. Easy trim, pungent terps, and overall resilient plant. Definitely benefits from LST. Any feedback is appreciated.
Planning on adding to this post as a weekly grow-a-long.

Excited to see your mandarin cookies! I’m just finishing the original version. Didn’t get anything super loud but should still be worth the wait.

Week 3 of Veg. I topped the Battle axe. Planning on final transplant (for half of this tent) next week. One more week of Veg. and flip. Currently running 6”Hugo Rockwool blocks and Crop Salt Nutrients with filtered Tap water. High Dro Grow Brand tent. Recirculating reservoir changed weekly.

1 week into flower transition.
The Mandarin Cookies V3 tent is solid after pulling out two significantly shorter plants.
The other tent currently housing 2 each of Battle Axe(stretched giants in the back) Cherry Gar-See-Ya (middle) and Grape Balls of Fire (in the front.)
Really surprised at the stretch on the Battle Axe. . .

@Waffles I don’t grow your style so I’m just curious if you have a plant and a 6-in grow block, how do you repot it or replant it?
Also, what is that water system you’re using? Can you send me a private message or make a post about your setup and what all you use like chillers or pumps or anything like that please? I’m trying to find a way to grow that doesn’t make me go down there and water every 2 days, at the same time I looked into rdwc and cleaning all that stuff regularly would just be too hard for me. I was thinking about trying to continue using living soil but run some kind of a water drip irrigation system that maybe I could fill it up once a week or something like that and since I’m not watering nutrients, I was hoping I could find a drip system that wouldn’t require me to clean it very often. I would think of recirculating system using just water. Would maybe just need to be flushed with bleach like every couple months.
Sorry to hijack your post and ask questions, but your system looks like it’s a very nice running operation.

@AvgJoePublic no worries glad to share here. My system uses a 25 gallon reservoir hooked to a 200 GPH pump that is set to run 5 watering cycles 30 seconds each per day. I spend 15 minutes a day and 2 hours per week maintaining PH, IPM, general cleaning, and reservoir changeout. I don’t use water chillers. Water goes through a short boy water filter (removes particulate) and is treated with Crop Salt, Power Si, and Zerotol. I start with a 1.5” A ok Rockwool starter cube and transplant into the six inch block. With Rockwool, transplanting is a bit different. Usually just stacking to gain more space, however I never have needed more than a 6” cube to Veg and Flower any plant thus far. High efficiency watering allows for more errors and speedy growth kinda like driving a Ferrari, needs a lot of attention. Honestly I would reccomend you check out Blumat watering as it is very consistent with taking on multiple plants and minimizing daily labor. Additionally check out AC infinity for the wicking bases. Rockwool doesn’t work well with passive wick watering otherwise I would be using blumat myself. Glad to keep this conversation going!!

Thanks for the response. Yeah I bought some of that wicking and I was going to fool with that and see if I could figure out how to get the plants to absorb more water by themselves so I didn’t have to go down there every 2 or 3 days.
I have to be careful cuz I can’t be stuck in the system with more work than I already have cuz I can barely keep up with what I’ve got.
